Sunbursts - cheese or fab?

I'm starting to see sunbursts mirrors everywhere again - I know - it's so 1998. But there are some really lovely choices out there now! But I do remember the craze in the late 90s and wonder if they're cheesy or a design staple?

I'm loving that last one - it's a bit of a different take on the same old, same old. It's $195 at Neiman Marcus .
